DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FORTHURSDAY, MAY 24, 2012

In the morning, the President will attend a campaign event at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, California. This event is closed press.

Later in the morning, the President will travel to Newton, Iowa. The departure from Moffett Federal Airfield and the arrival at Des Moines International Airport are open press.

While in Newton, the President will tour and deliver remarks at TPI Composites, a wind manufacturer where he will urge Congress to act on the “To Do List,” specifically highlighting the need to invest in clean energy by passing legislation that will extend the Production Tax Credit (PTC) to support American jobs and manufacturing in the wind industry alongside an expansion of the 48C Advanced Energy Manufacturing Tax Credit that supports American-made clean energy manufacturing. There will be travel pool coverage of the tour and the President’s remarks are open press. 

In the afternoon, the President will travel to Des Moines, Iowa for a campaign event. This event is open press.

In the evening, the President will return to Washington, DC. The departure from Des Moines International Airport and the arrival on the South Lawn are open press.
