An 11-year-old showed a handwritten message to an adult at East Feliciana Middle School in Clinton, La., on Tuesday. In it, her mother said that she was being held against her will and needed help, CBS News reports.

School officials proceeded to contact the authorities.
According to CBS News, authorities found the woman in a rural home a few hours later, unharmed. Her boyfriend, Donald Ray Guy, 27, was hiding in a closet.
Apparently Guy was wanted on warrants in East Feliciana for failure to appear for trial, aggravated battery and domestic-abuse battery in the presence of a child.
In this case, he faces charges of false imprisonment and domestic abuse battery.
