The 49-year-old first lady told students during the workshop on Friday that she imagined herself as a Disney princess, after listening to composer Alan Menken discuss how he had created scores for films including Beauty and the Beast, the Daily Mail reports.

“Closing her eyes, with both hands clasped to her chest, she exclaimed: ‘I don’t know about you guys, but I was listening backstage, and I just wanted to put my ball gown on and twirl and twirl,’ ” the Mail reports.

The panel was comprised of movie director Harvey Weinstein and actresses Whoopi Goldberg, Blake Lively and Naomie Harris. It was organized for students from Washington, D.C., New York and Boston to teach them about animation, special effects, make-up, costumes, directing, music and sound effects.
