Lamar Odom Regains Consciousness and Reportedly Said This to His Estranged Wife

There are reports circulating Friday that Lamar Odom’s condition has improved drastically. Odom was found unconscious in a brothel Tuesday with cocaine and other substances reportedly in his system. He was placed in a medically induced coma by doctors.

Sports Illustrated is reporting that Odom regained consciousness Friday and was able to squeeze the hand of his estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian, who has been by his bedside. Odom also was able to breathe on his own without the help of a ventilator, SI reports. 

A source told E! online that Odom said, “Hey, baby” to Kardashian, gave her a thumbs-up and then went back to sleep. Another source said that as of Friday afternoon, Odom was speaking and “functioning,” E! reports.
