Yesterday NBA star Kobe Bryant, in an interview with the New Yorker for the March 31 issue, criticized the Miami Heat's famous "hoodie" photo that the team took to show solidarity with the slain Florida teen and his family.

"I won't react to something just because I'm supposed to, because I'm an African American,” he reportedly said. " … If something happens to an African American, we immediately come to his defense? Yet you want to talk about how far we've progressed as a society? Well, we've progressed as a society, then don't jump to somebody's defense just because they're African American."
There was no doubt that the remarks would spark a huge wave of debate and backlash, with many people taking to Twitter to criticize the star athlete.
Now Bryant has decided to add his two cents to the online conversation, laying out how he really feels about Trayvon and inviting people to converse with him with the hashtag #tweetURthoughts.
Some users didn’t take long to take up the world-renowned athlete’s invitation, with Bryant responding in kind.
