Sinai Miller was selling Girl Scout cookies with her sisters in the evening when she was hit in the leg. She was taken to the hospital and then released that same night.ย โ€œI heard three gunshots and then one of them hit me in the leg,โ€ Sinai said, according to the station.

โ€œShe came in screaming, โ€˜Mommy, Mommy. It hurt. It hurt.โ€™ And Iโ€™m like, โ€˜What hurt? Whatโ€™s wrong?โ€™ So when I pulled her pant leg up, thatโ€™s when I discovered she was shot,โ€ Shanita Miller, Sinaiโ€™s mother, told Fox 59. โ€œSheโ€™s brave. Sheโ€™s very brave.โ€

The little girl cannot walk unassisted but is upbeat and excited to go back to selling her cookies.

Her family, however, is hoping that the person who pulled the trigger will be caught: โ€œSo that wonโ€™t happen to someone elseโ€™s child, so they wonโ€™t experience the hurt and pain that not only me but my child experienced,โ€ Miller said. Police are still looking for the gunman.
