Co-created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Steven Canals, Pose is unlike anything television has ever seen. The period drama sheds a light on New York City’s ballroom scene in the 80s and brings the stories of the LGBTQ+ community to life. Highlighting every single aspect of the LGBTQ+ community, Pose tells the unfiltered story of a group of individuals carving out a space for themselves in society while trying to build a community for themselves.

The series casts a record-making number of transgender actors and totes the largest ever recurring cast of LGBTQ+ actors for a scripted series. Pose made history when it enlisted Janet Mock, a writer and producer on the series, as the first trans woman of color to direct a television episode.

Pose deserves every single nomination and award this world has to offer because it has given members of the LGBTQ+ community a place to see themselves in a realm that has often placed them on the back-burner. I wish my fifty-five shades of gay ass had Pose growing up, but I am grateful the next generation has something they can look up to and something that shows them that they matter. iLIVE!
