Assembla in Needham, Mass., is seeking a product/developer evangelist to help promote its products. The ideal candidate will be excited about software-development tools and making an impact in the software-development industry.

Responsibilities will include creating documentation, reference materials, FAQs, blog posts and newsletters as well as developing tutorial videos and presentations of product features and enhancements.
To qualify for this job, candidates must have excellent writing and communication skills, along with experience developing software and working with start-ups. Candidates must also have an understanding of software-development tools and methodologies and should have experience writing and publishing user guides, social media content or technical documentation. Bonus points: familiarity with a source-code management system, like Subversion, Git or Mercurial; and/or an agile development methodology like Scrum, XP or Kanban.
