Grammy award-winning rapper, activist and producer Rhymfest was robbed early Saturday morning in the South Side area of Chicago, where he lives.

And you’d think once Smith reported the incident, he would have been treated properly by the Chicago Police, think again:
“The first thing that I did was come here to the police station, sir,” Smith told an officer who was playing Candy Crush.
After his tweets went viral, Smith received an apology from Anthony Guglielmi, communications director for the Chicago Police.
Smith has been a visible fixture in his Chicago community over the last several years, and is the Creative Director of Donda’s House, the non-profit created by Kanye West that supports young aspiring artists in Chicago.
