The remarks of Joe DiFilippo, a vice principal at Frensno's Scandinavian Middle School, were recorded by a student outside the cafeteria, school district spokesman Jed Chernabaeff told the Fresno Bee.

On the video, a student off camera asks, "Who at this school do you not like?" Another student chimes in, suggesting, "Me. All of us, all of us."

After a brief pause DiFilippo responds, "I just don't like the black kids."

Soon after, the video clip ends, and it's not clear if DiFilippo was trying to be funny.

Parents and students, however, are hardly amused. "That's not a joke," parent Latricia Medley told ABC 30, according to the Huffington Post. "That's not a very funny joke."

DiFilippo has been placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation, the Fresno Bee reported.
