WZZM is reporting that there are at least three dead and one injured following a shooting in a Berrien County Courthouse in St. Joseph, Mich., an employee at the county prosecutor's office said. Michigan State Police confirmed the shooting around 2:30 p.m. Monday.

The two victims were both court bailiffs, while the third deceased individual was the shooter, who was said to have be an in-custody inmate, authorities said. A Berrien County commissioner told reporter Vahid Sadrzadeh of WZZM's ABC affiliate WBND on the scene that the inmate, who was on his way to jail, took a gun off a deputy and started opening fire, striking the two bailiffs.

According to reports, the employee at the prosecutor's office said that the courthouse is under lockdown, and employees are being kept in their offices.
