Looks like Roseanne Barr is out of a job after getting the boot from ABC. The network canceled her show, Roseanne, after Barr send out a tweet comparing former presidential adviser Valerie Jarrett to an ape.

“Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show,” ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey said Tuesday, Variety reports.

Ironically, I tweeted this to Channing Dungey earlier this morning:

Before the show got canceled, Wanda Sykes, a consulting producer, posted on Twitter that she was leaving the show.

Even after Barr issued an apology on Twitter, people called for her show to be canceled. And apparently ABC was fed up, even though the network knew what it was getting into when it gave her a show. Meanwhile, now that ABC has ended the monster it created, let’s see how long before Donald Trump calls Barr a hero and comes to her defense.
