In what CNN interviewer Dana Bash called the shortest campaign in modern American history, Vice President Kamala Harris has been putting on the jets to ignite American voters and go toe to toe with former President Donald Trump.

The Democratic nominee has been facing backlash from critics who claim she has no real policies. Well, during her CNN interview, Harris laid out all of her plans for what she will do on day one if sheโs elected to office.
As part of her โopportunity economyโ plan, Harris plans to strengthen the middle class by bringing down the cost of everyday goods, investing in families through her $6,000 child tax credit extension, and more.
Harris has altered her stance on a number of issues over the years including fracking and the economy, but she made it clear last night that despite her change in policy, her โvalues have not changed.โ At her core, Harris insisted she has remained strong on her views, and Americans voters can check out her track record for proof.
The vice president made it clear that when it comes to Trump and his antics, she has bigger fish to fry. When asked about her response to Trumpโs outrageous claims that Harris โhappened to turn Blackโ last month, Harris simply shook her head and said itโs part of Trumpโs โsame ole tired playbook.โ

โThatโs it,โ Harris responded with a smile.
The Minn. governor sat down with Harris and Bash to clarify his intention regarding past comments about โweapons of warโ remark and IVF vs. IUI. Although Walz initially deflected, saying his and Harrisโ stances are widely different and much better than that of Trump and his running mate, Walz said sometimes his โgrammarโs not always correct.โ
Walz is really just excited to be there with Harris, as he and the vice president share a number of ideas aiming to push the country forward.
Harris got real about the moments leading up to and during her phone call with President Joe Biden that changed everything. She recalled making breakfast for her family and starting a puzzle when Biden told her he was dropping out of the race.
โI asked him, โAre you sure?โ and he said โYes,โโ she recalled. Harris continued saying the president pledged his support for her even though โmy first thought was not about me, to be honest with you. My first thought was about him,โ she said.
Like always, Harris said she stands by Bidenโs decision and history will remember him as a strong American leader who โputs the American people first.โ
With less than 68 days left until Americans line up at the voting polls, thereโs no signs that this election has any plans to slow down. Harris and Trump are set to face each other for the first time ever on the debate stage on Sept. 10.
