It looks as though Yaya DaCosta is already stepping into her role as Whitney Houston for Lifetime’s 2015 biopic about the Grammy-winning songstress.

As Angela Bassett makes her directorial debut, Lifetime gave everyone a sneak peak at DaCosta as Houston circa 1987. DaCosta re-created Houston’s iconic Whitney album cover, and you can see that her America’s Next Top Model experience has paid off.

“I just looked at the picture and did the pose!” DaCosta told Entertainment Weekly.

The biopic is already in production and will air sometime in 2015 on the Lifetime network. In honor of Throwback Thursday, here’s a look at one of Whitney Houston’s greatest hits from Whitney.
