TMZ reports that the rapper’s family has promised to sue anyone who attempts to distribute the footage. It spoke with a spokesperson for Pac’s estate, who explained that only the estate has the power to authorize the use of Tupac’s image for commercial use, and said that there’s “no way” the recording will ever get the proper approval.

Afeni Shakur said through her spokesperson, “Get the legal team ready because [we] will not allow someone to put it out.”

No word on who exactly appears in the tape with Pac, but reportedly the family believes she might be the person responsible for marketing it.
