A North Dakota supremacist wanted to rename a small town after Trump because he admired the Republican presidential candidate. A short time after that report, Trump seemingly hit the mother lode when notorious former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard David Duke endorsed his candidacy.

Your average person might be perturbed by the, let’s say, problematic affiliations, even if they were not sought. But Trump has, so far in the race, proved that he is not your average candidate, nonchalantly taking everything in stride.

“People like me across the board. Everybody likes me,” Trump said Wednesday night in an interview on Bloomberg’s With All Due Respect when asked about Duke’s endorsement.

According to Talking Points Memo, Trump pointed to a Tuesday poll from Public Policy Polling that showed him as the clear Republican front-runner in New Hampshire, gaining the favor of 35 percent of Republican primary voters.

Of course, for Trump to care, he may have to have an idea about who, exactly, Duke is. Trump said that he didn’t “know anything” about the former KKK leader.

“I don’t need his endorsement. I certainly wouldn’t want his endorsement. I don’t need anyone’s endorsement,” Trump said.

When asked if he “repudiated” the endorsement, Trump simply said, “Sure, if that would make you feel better. I would certainly repudiate. I don’t know anything about him.”
