The Drama With Houston’s Turkey Leg Hut is Getting Real Uglier

First, Turkey Leg Hut owner Lynn Price was charged for allegedly setting a rival bar on fire. Now, his ex-wife Nakia Holmes faces her own felony charges.

When Houston‘s Turkey Leg Hut opened in late 2017, nearly everybody and their mama either visited, wanted to, or couldn’t because the lines spanned down the street and around the block. It became a hot spot for residents and celebs alike… that is, until health code violations, dress code backlash, divorce, and accusations of arson closed its doors for good.

And now, one of the co-owner’s are facing new felony charges.

Authorities had been staking out the home of Nakia Holmes, co-owner of the now-defunct Turkey Leg Hut, who served up humungous stuffed turkey legs up until her restaurant with her ex-husband, Lynn Price, closed in 2024. Investigators suspected she had been harboring a wanted felon after they received a tip, and when cops saw her leave from her Cypress house, she was pulled over.

While conducting the traffic stop Wednesday (Oct. 15), Holmes was asked about Johnathan Saizon, the fugitive’s whereabouts. Saizon is accused of going to his ex-girlfriend’s home, forcing her into his car, kidnapping her, and beating her with his fists and a tire iron for six hours on Oct. 8 — all while he was out on bond on other charges. He, according to reports, dropped the ex-girlfriend off at a hospital after she promised not to call the police.

Back at the traffic stop, Holmes allegedly denied knowing him and insisted no one else was inside her home. But cops say that wasn’t quite the truth.

While deputies were questioning Holmes, they were alerted that Saizon was trying to escape from her house by jumping over a back fence, Fox 26 reported. He was arrested and so was Holmes. Saizon, 38, was charged with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault, and Holmes was slapped with hindering apprehension of a known felon charge — a felony.

Holmes bond was set at $10,000 and Click2Houston.com says she’s still is custody. Her next court appearance is Friday (Oct. 17).

This is just the latest controversy between TLH co-owners in recent years.

Lyndell “Lynn” Price, Holmes ex-husband, is accused of paying and conspiring with others to pour gasoline and set a rival bar on fire in 2020. Reports indicate his alleged motive was related to a business conflict with Bar 5015’s owner, Steven Rodgers, who was a former TLH and business partner of Price’s.

The establishment exploded (but eventually reopened and is now fully operational) and Price was charged with conspiracy to commit arson of a commercial building and conspiracy to use an interstate facility to commit arson of a vehicle. The second charge came after he was indicted for allegedly paying the same folks to set a stolen blue 1975 Chevy Nova ablaze in April 2020.

He’s being tried next month.
