It appears that Porsha Williams may not be getting her Nigerian Resident Permit, and her ex-husband, Simon Guobadia, may be the reason why. According to court documents, Guobadia has withdrawn his sponsorship support. And what was her response? Well, let us fill you in on the dramatic fallout of the former couple.

An affidavit filed with the High Court of Justice in Kaduna State, Nigeria, and obtained by TMZ, confirms that Guobadia sponsored Williams’ residency when they were married. Now that the divorce is finalized, he has yanked his support.
“It was brought to my attention by the Nigerian Government that she traveled to Nigeria in December 2024 using a document that had been issued to her during our marriage,” Guobadia told TMZ. “I was advised that, given our legal divorce, I have a duty to withdraw the sponsorship associated with that document.”
Talk about being petty.
He also shared his disappointment that Williams still flew to Lagos to join in the “Detty December” festivities after their marital split.
Guobadia also shaded Williams for flying to Lagos during “Detty December” despite their split. “As I stated in my recent Instagram stories, she will not be welcomed back to Nigeria for the same celebrations this year. This action is my way of honoring that promise,” he added.
And of course, the Black internet had plenty of things to say.
“Damn, pulling the sponsorship like that is a cold move,” an X user posted. “Wild how business and personal drama always get tangled up in these celebrity worlds.” https://x.com/cathyshah84907/status/1973400747677995325?s=12
“Mad the scammer got what was coming to him,” another wrote.
“To think they were desperately trying to convince us that their love is real,” a third reacted.
And what about Porsha? Well, she doesn’t seem too pressed. On Instagram, the “Real Housewives” star said she’s been “in her own world,” staying busy with the new season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” and even making a guest appearance on NBC’s “Brilliant Minds.”
