DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FORFRIDAY, JUNE 8, 2012

In the afternoon, the President and the Vice President will meet for lunch in the Private Dining Room. This lunch is closed press.

Later in the afternoon, the President will welcome President Benigno Aquino of the Philippines to the White House for a bilateral meeting. The Philippines is a long-standing friend and ally of the United States, and the President looks forward to discussing with President Aquino the close strategic, economic and people-to-people ties between our two countries, and our cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region. The two leaders will also discuss ways to deepen bilateral cooperation. There will be a pool spray at the bottom of the bilateral meeting.

Next, the President will welcome the four-time Super Bowl Champion New York Giants to the White House to honor the team for their Super Bowl XLVI victory. Continuing his tradition of recognizing sports teams for their work off the field, President Obama will highlight the Giants’ ongoing support to the men and women who serve in the military and their families. The President’s remarks on the South Lawn are open to pre-credentialed media.

In the evening, the President will attend a closed press campaign event in Washington, DC.
