According to The Advocate, Epps allegedly got into an altercation with a man named Algernon Pitre after Pitre asked for an autograph.

Pitre told The Advocate that he approached Epps after cashing in his chips. “I said, ‘Oh, Mike Epps!’” he said. “The next thing I know, he started hitting me in the face, unprovoked. I had a handful of chips, so I just basically bent down to protect myself, and then my friends ran over and got in front of me, and then security got there.”

TMZ captured photos of Pitre, which showed a bruised face and black eye.

Epps was booked on battery charges but missed his arraignment Tuesday morning, authorities said. An arrest warrant was issued and bond was set at $2,500.
