Harvard Business School grads K.J. Miller and Amanda E. Johnson are the women behind Mented, and in a press release, Johnson spoke about the upcoming Gloss for Grown-Ups collection.
βI was a hard-core lip gloss fan but could never really find the right shade or formula,β she said. βEverything was either too sticky, too shiny, too frosty, or too sheer, and didnβt compliment my skin tone. Iβm proud that we continue to expand the beauty options for women of color everywhere. Now, we, too, can be gloss girls with the shades and formulas we deserve.β
The collection, which is being released in September, has four shadesβMauve Over, Send Nudes, Berry Me and Baby Brownβwith each costing $15, and can be purchased at the companyβs website.
