Looks like the next launch from Pat McGrath Labs will truly be out of this world. A short time ago in a galaxy not at all far, far away, the most influential woman in makeup (yes, even beyond Rihanna—McGrath isn’t nicknamed “Mother” for nothing) announced that for her next product release, she’s partnered with Disney to create the limited edition Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Collection.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker won’t be in theaters until Dec. 19, but McGrath’s intergalactic collection will launch this Friday the 13th with two appropriately shimmery Mothership eyeshadow palettes: “Galactic Gold” and “Dark Galaxy.” The initial drop will also include three Star Wars-themed Lip Fetish lip balms, with a fourth dropping with the second rollout of the launch on Dec. 26, which will debut the Mothership IV: Star Wars palette.
“For this brilliant collaboration with Disney which celebrates the intergalactic glamour of Star Wars, I have taken inspiration from the iconic beauty of Princess Leia to the gilded glamour of C-3PO,” McGrath told British Vogue (where she also serves as the magazine’s beauty editor-at-large). “It’s been so much fun playing with make-up and Star Wars, two of my favorite things. The collection summons the Force with interstellar shades and hypnotic textures.”
Interstellar travel doesn’t come cheap—and neither do McGrath’s products, though us ardent fans will assure you, it’s worth it. For the makeup lover who is equally obsessed with Star Wars, there’s no better time to get into McGrath’s legendary pigments than the holidays; as Yoda would say, “Do or do not. There is no try.” ‘Tis the season to treat yourself—or someone you love!
At least, that’s the justification we’ll be using when we treat ourselves to another round of McGrath’s stellar pigments this holiday season (bonus: we can consider it our own version of cosplay when we go to see The Rise of Skywalker later this month). Besides, this release comes with a blessing from Mother herself: “May the fierce be with you.”
