The trademark was filed on behalf of Cardiโs company, Washpoppin, Inc. and is intended to primarily cover merchandise, as reported by Rolling Stone:
According to the filing, the clothing trademark would cover โT-shirts, sweatshirts, hooded sweatshirts, pants, shorts, jackets, footwear, headgear, namely hats and caps, blouses, bodysuits, dresses, jumpsuits, leggings, shirts, sweaters and undergarments.โ The rapper also submitted an application that covers the misspelled use of the word: โOkurr.โ
Those who have followed Cardi since her days on Love and Hip Hop (or prior, on social media), have long been familiar with her use of the versatile phrase and pigeon-like delivery, which recently hit the mainstream with her appearance on Pepsiโs Super Bowl commercials. Naturally, as her brand grows, sheโs keeping her bases coveredโnotably, she and Offset have already secured the trademark on daughter Kulture Kiariโs name.
Bottom line: Cardiโs consistently finding new ways to secure bagsโokurrr?

Like it or not, thatโs how capitalism works, yโall... okurrr?
