Apparently Prince Roger Nelson really did have “game” back when he was in high school. Prince played basketball for Minneapolis’ Bryant Junior High in the 1970s. And yes, he was referred to as being “undersized.” According to the Star Tribune, Prince was a reserve player, but his half brother Duane was a star on the team. The photo was originally published in 1984 as part of a promotion leading up to the premiere of Purple Rain.
