You’ll Delight in This Black TikToker’s Vicious, Viral Clapback to a Racist Troll

Black gamer @norratamo’s mic drop-worthy response to a racist who found his way into his comments has garnered over five million views on TikTok.

It’s no secret that Black content creators face an extra layer of pressure when they share their material online. The current political climate has emboldened racist trolls to be even louder and given them the “courage” to come at creators of color (from behind their computer screens, of course) with bigoted responses for no other reason than the fact that they aren’t white.

But one Black TikToker just gave a master class in how to handle the haters and offered a mic drop-worthy response to a racist that has since gone viral.

Tamo, a Black YouTube gamer known on TikTok as @norratamo, has amassed nearly 180,000 followers on the app for his posts about everything from Pokémon cards to his favorite games. But while he considers his content to be a service to people with common interests, Tamo was surprised to find that a viewer of one of his livestreams used the time to call him racial slurs.

In response, Tamo posted a follow-up clip to put his hater on notice, letting him know that he is messing with the wrong one.

“To the white guy that called me slurs over and over again in my livestream the other night for no reason, guess what, you’re going to get kicked out of the United States Navy,” Tamo said in an August 31 post.“You know how they tell us we should be careful what we do on social media because there could be real life consequences? Hi, my name is real life consequences. I’ve done a thorough background check and now I know everything about you.”

With Kendrick Lamar’s 2024 Drake diss track, “meet the grahams” in the background, Tamo went on to say that with a little online detective work, he learned practically everything about his hater’s personal life, including the fact that he just lost his mother and that he has a two-year-old child. He added that he has screenshots and recordings of the man’s bad behavior and is planning to use all of that info against him.

“There’s nothing you can do to stop me. There is no apology I will accept. There is no excuse I will listen to. There is no money you could offer me. You’re getting fired,” Tamo said in his post. “And when you’re working the graveyard shift at an Amazon warehouse and your back hurts and your feet hurt and those white bright lights are beating down on you and the teenager who still has his life ahead of him walks up to you and says, ‘What are you doing here?’ tell him the truth. Tell him about me.”

The clip has garnered over five million likes and nearly 70,000 comments, including some from people who called the Kendrick instrumental the perfect soundtrack for this post.

“Kendrick levels of hatred and I love it 😂” wrote someone in the comments.

Another commenter praised @norratamo’s detective work, comparing him to a beloved crisis manager made famous by actress Kerry Washington on the hit ABC show, “Scandal.”

“Olivia Pope had a son?” wrote someone else.

Hopefully, Tamo’s response will teach others to think about the consequences before they troll.
