Inside RuPaul’s Mansion in Beverly Hills

The drag queen and television host shared his fabulous home with the folks at ‘Architectural Digest.’

Drag queen and television host RuPaul is known for putting on a fabulous show. So when he opened up the Beverly Hills home he shares with his husband Georges LeBar to the folks at Architectural Digest, we couldn’t wait to go inside.

Decorated in black and white with pops of orange – RuPaul’s favorite color – the home gives old Hollywood glam vibes, while still feeling like a warm and inviting space to hang out with friends.

“The house is a touchstone to remind me to inspire people to feel the magic that’s seemingly so elusive these days,” RuPaul told Architectural Digest. “It’s meant to be whimsical and fun. None of it is to be taken too seriously—except for love and kindness.”

From the stunning walk-in closets to the colorful living spaces, this is one home you have to see to believe.

The kitchen is a bright, open space to gather. We love the gold accessories and pops of orange throughout. Check out those beautiful light fixtures!

Right off the kitchen is the breakfast nook, a bright space RuPaul says is used for everything from meals to game nights. The gold light fixture once belonged to designer Yves Saint Laurent in the 1970s.

Dining Pavillion

The black and white decor flows through to the dining pavilion, an open space made even more stunning by the floor to ceiling windows that open up to the back yard.

The working office is where RuPaul gets business done – and keeps his collection of awards.

Two bedrooms were combined to create RuPaul’s men’s closet, full of colorful suits, shoes and accessories.

The outdoor space is just as beautiful as the indoor space, featuring lots of seating areas, a pool and a jacuzzi.

The jewel-toned furniture brings a beautiful pop of color to the living room and is the perfect contrast to the black and white flooring.

This room, known as the Drag Archives, is a dressing area full of RuPaul’s dresses, shoes and accessories. With tons of jewelry and a shoe collection that rivals any department store, this is a place is a fashion lover’s dream.

“It’s pretty amazing,” he says. “It’s kind of like a museum.”
