Serena Williams is back in the headlines. But it isn’t for her award-winning tennis skills. In fact, the reason why has nothing at all to do with tennis but it’s still getting her fans and followers talking.

The reason for all the chatter stems from a pair of recent Instagram posts the popular athlete posted showing off her significantly slimmed down physique. In particular, a post from mid-July had fans concerned that the beautifully built Williams had worked away all her gorgeous curves.
Posing for a gym selfie in an all-black fit, Williams showed off her toned abs and noticeably smaller arms and thighs, sparking confusion from her followers.
“This doesn’t look like Serena wtfh,” wrote one user.
“Come home sis please!!!! WE love you but this ain’t it,” said another.
“Gah damn she done went full white chick on us. The queen from Compton is gone,” another user wrote.
One user even went so far as to allege her weight loss was due to a popular medicine.
“Ozempic. Doesn’t even look like Serena anymore,” the user said.
“Weight loss drugs again. Sad women feel the pressure,” one other user wrote.
However, it looks like all the chatter has come to an end thanks to a new post Williams put out on Wednesday (June 23). In it, she can be seen playing mini hoops with a basketball (a bit unsuccessfully, if we may add.) But the focus wasn’t on her skills, but rather her, um, derrière and curves.
In the comments, folks were glad to see that he weight loss journey hadn’t gotten rid of her curves after all.
“We can all breathe a sigh of relief…it’s still there,” one user wrote.
“She’s making sure y’all know she still draggin that wagon,” said another.
“Serena!! Ok ok we sorry sis!! The subliminal shade is EPIC W THIS ONE!!We GET IT! You said it’s STILL SITTING just fine!” another user said.
