The drama unfolded when the Chris Anokute, the music executive behind Rihanna’s hit track “Pon de Replay,” appeared on the Simplistic podcast arguing that Ri-Ri is the biggest star on the planet, even ahead of Beyoncé, Kanye, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, and others. Well, that clip went viral. And let’s just say, Beyoncé’s Beyhive and Rihanna’s Navy are locking and loading on the Twitter battlefield.
“There’s something about that girl, Robyn Fenty — it’s not by a coincidence she’s a billionaire,” Anokute boasted. “I’m sure, when Rihanna’s in the room everybody knows, that’s the biggest star on the planet.
“I’ve seen her [Rihanna] in rooms, with Jay-Z, Beyoncé, and some of the biggest luminaries in the world — Jeff Bezos included,” he explained, “the energy in the room is all pushed towards Rihanna.”
The exec’s perspective had Beyoncé fans seething, and they weren’t afraid to pop off about it. “In what world does Rihanna have more star power than Beyoncé??” one Beyoncé stan quipped, while a Riri stan clapped back saying, “Rihanna’s power is insane, a like got them pressed like this,” alongside crying emojis.

The Beyhive
Beyonce’s Beyhive boldly entered the chat, claiming Bey is the #1 pop star in multiple categories, including best album, female producer, and overall artist of the 21st century.
“More star power,” a second Bey stan wrote, teasing Riri’s alleged empty stadium seats.
“Star power but Beyoncé literally stole the night when Rihanna is the one getting the Vanguard award,” a third teased alongside a crying emoji.
“Mind you, Beyoncé was named MOST POWERFUL female musician by Forbes SIX times, the most for any artist,” a fourth claimed.
A fifth user added a Cynthia Erivo GIF, sarcastically teasing that “the concept of Rihanna having more star power” was debatable.
The Navy
Rihanna’s Navy didn’t hold back either, defending Riri to no end. “Since the Hive are getting brave, Rihanna outstreamed both Jay Z & Beyoncé’s discography combined,” a fan wrote, adding that Riri alone has more diamond records.
“Bitches is mad on TL about Rihanna liking a post complimenting her star power… I mean the truth hurts,” a second Riri stan wrote. “Stay mad.”
“Rihanna know she bigger than Beyonce,” a third teased.
This fan claimed that Rihanna’s hit album “ANTI” outcharted every single album in Beyoncé’s discography.
“If it’s one thing I LOVE about Rihanna it’s her thick skin. She made pregnancy look cool, literally became a trend, ain’t no way ugly faceless minions online would dent her self-esteem,” a fifth Riri stan defended.
