In the aftermath of Janet Jackson’s comments about Vice President Kamala Harris’ racial identity, in which she falsely claimed the VP had a white father and that she wasn’t Black, people are starting to wonder just how or why the megastar voices such information — and if her brother Randy Jackson has anything to do with it.
For many, The Jacksons legend is Suspect Number One for two reasons. First, Randy has been Janet’s manager since about 2016 and has reportedly had a major say in how she moves both on a personal and professional front considering the two are very close, according to sources close to the family who recently spoke to Page Six.

Second, Randy is an alleged “Trump supporter and conspiracy theorist,” according to Page Six sources, who peddle the same false theories about Harris’ racial makeup that her opponent’s followers do. Posts on Randy’s official Instagram feature a clip of Kanye West’s 2023 interview with Tucker Carlson on FOX News and a selfie with Robert Kennedy Jr. — both of whom are known for peddling conspiracy theories and supporting former President Donald Trump. Randy also follows Candace Owens and Trump himself.
“How can she sing about ‘Rhythm Nation’ and make comments like that?” said the source. “It doesn’t even sound like her. She’s so methodical. I don’t know what made her do this.”
They went on to share how Jackson doesn’t watch the news much anymore and lives in a bubble — a claim that may have validity considering the “Control” singer didn’t even know what a Hot Cheetos were up until 2018. Another source also said that they didn’t understand why Randy was managing her career when his own wasn’t that successful and insisted that he’s “sabotaging her legacy” due to his lack of experience.
Neither Jackson nor Randy have commented on the matter following the recent loss of their other brother Tito Jackson, who passed away on Sept. 15. But while they’re silent, folks on X/Twitter are speaking out against brother and sister.
“Janet Jackson is known to be loyal to a fault. She keeps people in her orbit long past their expiration date, out of a sense of love & loyalty. A prime example of this is Randy Jackson serving as her Mgr. He is divisive, deceptive, incompetent & self-serving. #RandyMustGo,” wrote one user.
“Throw Randy Jackson’s MAGA head ass in the trash and get him from influencing Janet,” said another.
“Randy Jackson has RFK, Kanye, and ole gyal on his IG page. That’s all we need to know. Janet stop listening to a man even if it’s your own brother,” another wrote.
