As the only daughter of pop legend Michael Jackson, Paris Jackson has been outspoken when it comes to her late father. For years, she’s been battling with the owners of Jackson’s estate, and now, she’s taking explosive new accusations to court.

The 27-year-old is now suing her father’s estate co-executors, John Branca and John McClain, after she alleged they’ve been mishandling money. In a Nov. 17 filing, Paris claimed the “Billie Jean” singer’s $464 million estate is being exploited big time, and her siblings— Jackson’s estate beneficiaries— aren’t getting their fair share.
According to Paris, she and her brothers, Prince, 28, and Bigi, 23, had only received their 2021 estate accounting in September of this year while the executors took in more than $10 million for themselves. “Paris is increasingly concerned the Estate has become the vehicle for John Branca to enrich and aggrandize himself, rather than serve the beneficiaries’ best interests and steadfastly preserve her father’s legacy,” the filing obtained by Page Six read.
To make matters worse, Paris also expressed concern over the executors’ decision to invest in the 2026 MJ biopic— where Branca approved of actor Miles Teller playing the fictional version of himself in the film. We previously told you Paris took issue with actor Colman Domingo, who will play Paris’ grandfather, Joe Jackson. While she doesn’t fully approve of the star-studded film all about her father, Paris’ main beef with his estate has been a priority for years.
Any compensation Branca and McClain take in completely “dwarfs any amount distributed to Paris or her siblings,” her lawyers also claimed in the lawsuit. They accused the executors of paying themselves irregular “premium payments” and unexplained bonuses.
The filing alleged the executors “completely failed” to invest any of Jackson’s $464 million estate. Due to “unproductive investments,” the estate has gained less than 0.1 percent, according to Paris’ numbers. Had they properly invested, she said the estate could’ve generated $41 million in profits.
In response to the accusations, a source close to the estate told PEOPLE, “This is another misguided attempt by Paris Jackson’s attorneys to provide themselves cover.” The unnamed insider continued, “The fact is Paris Jackson’s lawyers lost their latest case against the Estate and have been ordered to pay the Estate’s attorneys’ expenses. All the beneficiaries are well taken care of by the Estate. This is a weak attempt to change the narrative of their loss.”
The filing came after the executors filing their own motion back in October claiming Paris has received approximately $65 million in benefits from the estate, according to E! News. A hearing for Paris’ latest filing is set for Jan. 13, 2026.
