Nicki Minaj is opening up a new can of internet mess — this time, for seemingly aligning with controversial republican president, Donald Trump. The rapper took to Twitter to thank “POTUS,” then threw what looked like a jab at fellow rapper Cardi B.

While the cryptic tweet wouldn’t be the first time the rapper caused a stir with her fiery commentary, aligning with MAGA had the Barbz conflicted… and the internet is eating it up.
The drama unfolded Tuesday night when the “Pink Friday” superstar dropped a throwback photo of herself alongside a disheveled barbie doll who appeared to be typing away on a keyboard.
Her head-turning caption began: “Flattering photos are allowed to be posted of me again. Thanks, POTUS.”
However, her fans appeared to have had enough after that last bit. The Barbz were also gagging when she appeared to take shots at Cardi, seemingly suggesting that her collaboration for former Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign was a failure.
She continued: “Epiphany had politicians thinking she would lead them to a victory 😩🤣. Had Live Nation thinking she knew her shit. lol. How much money did VP Harris have stacked up for her campaign, again? Yikes.”
Folks ran knees to chest to the comment section dropping their thoughts on the tweet, which raked in over 1.4 million views in less than 24 hours. Some fans teased along with Minaj while others speculated why Minaj would seemingly align with MAGA unexpectedly.
“Barbz get ready.. I feel like we’re about to have to f–k some shit up😩,” one fan replied with a stressed emoji.
“The concept of being MAGA when most of ur fans are POC and LGBTQ….” another shot back.
One fan boldly speculated that the Queens rapper is cozying up to President Donald Trump because she’s desperate for the MAGA figurehead to pardon her husband, Kenneth Petty, who was convicted of attempted first-degree rape in 1995, per USA Today.
Yet folks didn’t stop there, further voicing their frustrations in a number of tweeted comments below.
