Jermaine Jackson doesn’t do a lot of press these days, but the original lead singer of The Jackson 5 stepped back into the spotlight for a recent interview that has lots of people talking. And while he came out to share some exciting family news, there’s a major reason why his message may have gotten lost.

It all started with an interview that the King of Pop’s big brother did with Monaco Info announcing plans to bring a Jackson Museum to the French Riviera. The museum will contain artwork and personal items that belonged to Michael and other family members going back to the 1960s. The post on X has received over 4 million views and thousands of comments. Although many of the posts came from fans who were just happy to have a Jermaine Jackson sighting, most of them had some serious questions about his hairdo.

Some, like TikToker @daniellexcheree, just couldn’t make it make sense.
“Just laying here trying to figure out who came up with Jermaine Jackson’s hairstyle…” she captioned a post.
Some had fun comparing Jackson’s haircut to commonly-used office supplies.
“They got my man looking like the cap of a dry erase marker,” wrote someone on X.
Some saw a striking resemblance to a character from a popular children’s television show.
“Legend…but what’s with the hair?” wrote someone else on X.
Other folks took issue with Jermaine’s barber.
“Jermaine Jackson looks like his barber works part time at Lego and Playmobil. Sir if you don’t cut that bull*t off and embrace your age,” wrote someone on X.
But there were other concerned fans who just want him to go back to his Jackson 5 afro glory days.
“I don’t know what’s going on with Jermaine’s hair, but someone…ANYONE who loves that brother needs to tell him how ridiculous that looks. I’m old enough to remember when Jermaine had the best Afro in The Jackson 5,” wrote someone else.
Fans will always have love for Jermaine and the rest of his talented family, but it seems like an overwhelming majority agrees with @travisfrombrooklyn who is begging for someone to tell Jermaine to leave this look in the past.
“Somebody has to do an intervention on Jermaine Jackson cause he’s still holding on to that damn hair in 2025. I’m concerned,” he captioned a TikTok.
