Keep it real, most of us are largely unimpressed by celebrity wax figures. But believe us when we say — this next one just changed the game. Hollywood heartthrob Idris Elba was left stunned when he spotted his new wax figure at Madame Tussauds London. And let’s just say, the sculpture was more Idris Elba than Idris Elba, and he couldn’t wait to tell his mama!

The masterpiece was revealed Friday (Dec. 19), as the wax figure was showcased wearing the outfit he reportedly wore to meet King Charles to discuss violent crime amongst the youth. The figure flexed in a matching navy pantset, stunning black shoes and a heart-stopping smile.
When we tell you, the eyes, the hands, the demeanor — even the swag — was captured. And understandably, the “Luther” actor bursted out a gut-filled laugh before boasting, “Look at this guy!”
“I gotta call my mom! She’s gonna freak,” Elba said, leaning on the shoulder of his sculpture. “I got into Madame Tussauds! Can you believe it?”
His mother, who was on face time, responded with shock as well. “Oh my God!” she exclaimed. We’re also pretty sure she thought she was talking to the real Elba, before he panned the phone to himself laughing.
Honestly, we get it. When he panned the phone over, it probably looked like her son twice, which would indeed — as the Hollywood actor teased — freak any mom out. Mind you, we as fans are major wax figure snobs, and we’ve seen some of the worst out there. However in this case, it seems fans collectively agree, it couldn’t have been crafted any better.
“That looks more like Idris Elba than Idris Elba 😵💫,” one fan wrote alongside a dizzy face emoji.
“That’s his wax figure? I thought it’s Idris’s twin brother, lol,” another fan wrote.
