As we previously told you, Cardi’s long-awaited sophomore album has been the talk of the town since it dropped about a week ago. While she took shots at everybody from her estranged ex-husband Offset, fellow rappers Bia and JT, and more, she’s also been seemingly everywhere promoting it and getting super creative in doing so.
That creativity led her to making sure as many fans as possible could get their hands on the album and the way she went about is arguably one of the most interesting things a music artist has done in a while. In a recent collaboration with Walmart and drone delivery company Wing, Cardi sent nearly 200 signed copies of her album to fans across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, per ABC News.
The albums were flown directly to fans’ doors and created such hubub that it made Guinness World Records pay attention and subsequently award her with a truly random feat: most deliveries done by a drone in one hour.
“Most deliveries by UAV drones in one hour: 176, by @iamcardib @AtlanticRecords @Wing & @Walmart at multiple locations today across the Dallas-Fort Worth region, Texas, USA,” the record holding company wrote in a post to X/Twitter.
Added Cardi herself in part in a followup video: “I’m so thankful because we even broke the record, the most deliveries in one hour. So, the drones is tired honey, you can’t even get it no more from a drone.”
But if you thought breaking a world record (or her fourth pregnancy) was going to slow her down, think again! Cardi is making sure she stays in front of people by embarking on a multi-city “pop up” where she’s meeting fans and signing even more copies of her album.
Her most recent stop in Houston not only saw her excite fans, but it also saw her release a bonus song entitled “Doin Too Much” and an accompanying music video. Talk about not taking your foot off the gas!
