During an interview on βLate Night With Seth Meyersβ on July 10, Whoopi Goldberg host warned the crowd that βNo one should do thisβ before delving into her story about spreading her motherβs ashes.
Goldbergβs mother, Emma Harris, passed away in 2010 at 68 years of age. βMy mother loved Disneyland, and so we took her to Disneyland,β Goldberg began the seemingly heartwarming tale. βAnd when I was a kid, the Worldβs Fair was here, and it was the introduction of Small World, and she loved Small World.β

As the story progressed, things became a little peculiar. To spread Harrisβ ashes, Goldberg confessed, she would βscoop some of her upβ and pretend to sneeze to release them at the park. The legendary actress also said she used this same strategy to also spread the ashes near the βflowers where it says Disneyland.β
Goldberg then stated that her actions werenβt a secret to the theme parkβs employees as she explained to Meyers, βI told them I did it.β βI wanted to make sure, actually, that I hadnβt done something that was dangerous βcause it hadnβt occurred to me. But thereβs a reason they donβt want ashes just floatinβ around,β she continued.
In 2017, Goldberg herself was inducted as a Disney Legend. In the past, she has stated her mother always wanted to experience Disneyland but simply couldnβt afford to.
Goldberg has been a co-host on βThe Viewβ since 2007 and has garnered her fair share of controversial headlinesβespecially when it comes to former president Donald Trump.
