Following her latest viral interview with Alec Baldwin, the world is asking: Who exactly is “Crackhead Barney?” The woman, who calls herself an “ambush interviewer,” once again is causing chaos online after she approached the actor in a New York City coffee shop earlier this week.
The anonymous personality hails from Jamaica, Queens, and labels herself as a content creator and performance artist. On Tuesday (April 23), a clip of the internet personality went viral when she confronted Baldwin over the deadly shooting on the set of his film “Rust.”

“Why did you kill that lady? You killed that lady and got no jail time,” “Crackhead Barney” said in the footage. She was apparently referencing the late cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who died on the set of the western movie when a gun held by Baldwin fired a live bullet during rehearsal.
She then demanded the actor say “free Palestine” and “f**k Israel.” In response, Baldwin slapped the phone out of her hand before the recording ended. During an appearance on the Piers Morgan show Wednesday (April 24), “Crackhead Barney” told her version of the exchange.
“What did I do to Alec Baldwin? Piers, do you see the damage that Alec did to me? Do you see the damage? Look at my arms! Look at my arms, Piers! Look at my neck! I was maimed by a white man on Monday!” she exclaimed. “Crackhead Barney” also defended her pro-Palestine stance.
The notorious activist is known for ambushing politicians and public figures about topics such as transgender rights, Israel-Hamas war and conservative government policies.
“Crackhead Barney” interviewed Jan. 6 rioters and recently attended a press conference conducted by New York Mayor Eric Adams. Halfway through his speech, she interrupted to ask him: “Are you a dirty cop?”
Since her antics have garnered a following—it’s only a matter of time before she pulls another stunt.
