On Feb. 11, Usher will take over Las Vegas once again to perform for the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show. And while we know he could very well perform the entire 13-minute set by himself, he’s teased that R&B will take centerstage and that he’d be bringing out folks who represent the genre in it’s truest sense.

It’s a crying shame we’ve only gotten one collab from Bey and Usher over the years. How iconic would it be for us to finally see them reunited on one of the biggest stages?!

Usher may be the King of R&B, but Tank is the genre’s love child. Plus, Usher said he wants the performance to feel like he’s singing directly to the women. Who better to help whisper sweet nothings than Mr. “Sex, Love, Pain?”

Mary J. Blige is a great performer (with stellar dance moves btw) and one of R&B’s most beloved pillars.
Ella Mai
Some folks may be sleeping on some of Ella Mai’s bops, but because I’m a huge fan of “Don’t Waste My Time”—which features her and Usher, we’ve got to give Ella a chance to shine.
Summer Walker
I’ve been bumping “Good Good” and the “Come Thru” Remix for a good reason. If we’re gonna center R&B, who better than Summer Walker?
Lucky Daye
For the way Lucky Daye slide on “Guess”—which samples Usher’s “You Don’t Have to Call” by the way—he deserves a cameo alongside him.

Who is having a bigger moment than Victoria right now? If her song “On My Mama” and choreography isn’t proof she’s ready for the big stage—I don’t know what is!

If you want somebody whose gonna match Usher’s energy—look no further than Chloe Bailey. From vocal range to dance moves, she’s more than ready.
Teyana Taylor
It’s beyond clear that Teyana Taylor can creatively direct the hell out of anything and her musical talent speaks for itself. Her and Usher together would definitely bring some major heat.
T-Pain
I know this might be an unorthodox pick considering the slight kerfuffle they had years ago, but T-Pain’s contributions to R&B can’t go unnoticed. I think it would be an underrated addition.
Honorable Mention: Lil Jon and Ludacris
OK, I know, they aren’t R&B acts but if Usher doesn’t bring out Luda and Lil Jon to do “Yeah,”—I might riot in the streets.

Four words: “Daddy’s Home.” The remix. Personally, I think he should open with this one but that’s just me!
