While tensions arise across the country, one viral TikTok has just proved that everyday folks are still standing up for people in their community. The video shows the aftermath of a white man who messed around in Walmart by ramming his shopping cart into a Black woman and definitely found out immediately after.

The clip, posted by TikTok user @momlife2022tx, starts just seconds after an elder white man hit the unidentified Black woman with his cart while waiting in line to pay for their items at a store. It begins with the woman moving in front of the man’s cart to confront him.
“What you’re not going to do is hit me with this cart,” she says— followed by an encouraging “Exactly!” from the TikToker behind the camera.
Unshaken by what the woman has to say, the man defends himself to her husband by explaining that she allegedly cut in line.
“I didn’t cut in line. You stopped,” the woman responds. “You literally stopped this cart and held up the entire line behind you.” But before she can really go off on the line cutter, her husband takes her hand to lead her away from the heated situation.
However, that doesn’t mean the entitled man got off scot-free. He was then confronted by the TikToker’s husband and is shown in the next clip being escorted away by security out of the store…and empty handed. Oop!
In the comments, folks were glad to see people— specifically minorities, as the woman recording and her husband are Hispanic— coming together to defend the Black woman.
“I love when people of color come together and fight the oppressor,” wrote one user. “Minorities standing together.. You love to see it,” added another. “Brown & Black ppl unite,” added a third.
In an update to the video, @momlife2022tx shared screenshots from the woman who had been hit. She explained that while the man had not been arrested by the police, he had been charged with a Class C misdemeanor. The text read: “They would only arrest him if there was a mark or a bruise left on me, since we don’t reside in the same house. (Texas law) The police said it was a class C misdemeanor without the bruises.”
According to Texas Law Help, an organization that provides free legal information for low-income Texans, a Class C misdemeanor for violence leads to a court summons. A defendant must enter a plea and, if convicted, could have their fingerprints taken and a strike on their criminal record.
Responding to the update, folks on TikTok were happy to know that justice was served and quickly!

“God is good,” added another.
Another social media user commented: “Big shout out to you (@momlife2022tx), hubby, and the other gentleman who stepped up.”
