Travis Scott was arrested for the second time this year — this time in a luxury Paris hotel in the early Friday morning hours after allegedly getting into an altercation with his own bodyguard, according to various outlets.
Per PEOPLE, Scott — real name Jacques Bermon Webster II — “attacked a security guard who attempted to break up the two men at the George V Hotel.” The Paris prosecutor’s officer shared in a statement obtained by the outlet, “I can confirm that on August 9, 2024, shortly after 5 a.m., the police were called to the Georgs V Hotel and arrested the man nicknamed Travis Scott for assaulting a security guard.”

Scott was in Paris for the Olympic Games and was seen on Thursday at Team USA’s basketball semifinal game against Serbia at the Bercy Arena. Watch the footage, caught by TMZ, below.
As The Root previously reported, the “UTOPIA” rapper was arrested earlier this year and booked into jail in Miami for trespassing and disorderly intoxication. “Scott was arrested at 1:44 a.m. and booked into jail at 4:35 a.m,” The Root reported in June.
“He posted bonded nearly four hours later, $500 for trespassing and $150 for disorderly intoxication.”
At the time, his attorney Bradford Cohen said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE, “Mr. Scott was briefly detained due to a misunderstanding. There was absolutely no physical altercation involved, and we thank the authorities for working with us towards a swift and amicable resolution.”
As The Root reported at the time, Scott seemed unfazed by the arrest, tweeting “Lol” from his X account the next day.
