It started out with a prayer from Danielle Belton, the managing editor of The Root. "Dear Lord, please don't let these be nasty," Belton said, right before tasting Neiman Marcus' very, very expensive collard greens.

Last week, Neiman Marcus' greens got a lot of attention, basically because who the hell sells greens for $66? Not to mention the shipping price of $15. Well, apparently people actually rushed to buy the greens. And Neiman Marcus should probably slide us a percentage of its profits because we were the first to write about them, and we actually purchased a box.
Unfortunately, the greens were straight garbage. As Danielle Young, our social-content producer, stated, "Rachel Dolezal cooked these."
In the end, News Editor Breanna Edwards complained about a stomachache to me after she ate them. All I could do was laugh from the comfort of my home and thank God I wasn't in the office to smell or eat those greens.
