What two Texas YouTubers assumed would be a typical run-of-the mill food review turned into a nightmare… and it was all caught on camera. After inadvertently filming the harrowing incident and the video going viral, they are now sharing an update on the aftermath.

YouTubers NinaUnrated and Patrick Blackwood were creating content at a restaurant called Cuvee Culinary Creations in Houston over the weekend. The duo were enjoying a variety of food served on several plates on their table. A millisecond after Blackwood took a bite of his cheeseburger, the unthinkable occurred when a SUV bulldozed directly into their restaurant’s table, shattering glass, and sending their table and lunch flying in the air.
“Life is truly fragile,” one person wrote in TikTok comments after the video went viral. “I would never sit by a window again,” a second person added, while a third wrote, “Wow, they definitely had an angel looking over them.” Someone else likened the ordeal to a popular movie franchise about cheating death. “OMG, This is very Final Destination!,” they wrote. Others weren’t so convinced, speculating the crash part of the video was a product of A.I. “With AI I can’t tell what’s real and what’s fake anymore,” one person said. Another questioned, “How did the camera not fall?”
Blackwood, who was sitting closest to the window when the crash occurred, reportedly suffered cuts from the broken glass. NinaUnrated — real name Nina Santiago — also had bruises and cuts on her face and arms. The pair shared an update on the aftermath with pictures of themselves bruised and bloodied.
Nina wrote in a social media post how she is “beyond grateful to be alive” while “Patrick Blackwood and I recorded an eating show.” She added: “It hit us directly me on his left, him on my right as I bit into a delicious salmon slider. Out of nowhere, but we survived.”
“Tomorrow Is Not Promised,” Nina captioned the video of the horrific crash in part. “This experience showed me who truly matters; life’s too short for grudges or anger. Let go, forgive, live in the now, and cherish those around you. This could’ve been our last meal. Thankful to the universe and our angel pup Loyal, who passed in Nov 2024 and protected us from above,” she wrote in a follow-up post alongside a picture of her in a hospital bed.
The restaurant commented on Nina’s post, writing how they “appreciate you being apart of the Cuvées family” and how they are “grateful you’re safe after such a scary moment.” Their statement concluded: “We’re still here to serve our community delicious food this weekend and can’t wait to see you again.”
