Serena Williams is already getting a jump on the next generation of tennis superstars. The 23-time Grand Slam champion and her youngest daughter, Adira, took to the court for a very early lesson, but the littlest Williams wasnβt in the mood to cooperate on camera.
In an adorable Instagram post captioned βWhenβs too early?,β Adira picks up a tennis ball as Serena tells her to put it in a basket, saying, βHey Adira, put it in here!β The 14-month-old decides to do things her own way, throwing the ball instead.

In a TikTok clip, the four-time Olympic gold medalist elaborated on how things have changed for her, writing, βMy life is very different now. Instead of chasing balls, Iβm chasing #Adira and helping #Olympia with tennis lessons and cooking. (And, all this is in-between Venture Capital calls).β
Every once in a while, Serena likes to tease us with hints that she might return to professional tennis. However, if this is how sheβs spending her days on the court, it feels like sheβs probably having more fun with Adira than she would at any competition.
