On Monday, Russell Simmons posted a lengthy video on social media in which he defended Diddy and urged that they start to uplift the controversial music mogul. This comes amid claims accusing him of sex trafficking, sexual abuse and rape.
Of course, the most shocking part of Simmonsβ video is that he is also accused of many heinous acts similar to Diddy and has several sexual assault-related lawsuits. Many believe that Simmons fled to Bali to avoid legal action.

In fact, Simmons was served in Bali in March with legal papers related to a defamation lawsuit filed by acclaimed writer and producer Drew Dixon.
During the last two minutes of the video, in which he discusses Diddy, Simmons states, βWhen you tear someone down or you watch someone tear someone down, try not to get so excited. I know itβs fun to watch for some people. If I had a nickel for every nasty meme sent to me by people whose lives were enhanced and built by Sean Combs, itβs like, it seems a bit hypocritical since the only reason you have a life is βcause you worked for him, or he gave you a job or lifted you up somehow.β
He added, βWatching our brothers fall is hurtful. Having everybody get together and laugh at our brotherβs fall or supporting the tearing down of our brothers is tough.
Earlier in the same video, Simmons also speaks on the feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake, saying that he hopes their battle does not pour into the real world, resulting in gunplay.
Although the rap feud did not directly involve Lamar or anyone associated with him according to reports, a security guard was shot outside of Drakeβs Toronto mansion just a day after he dropped his most recent diss track, βThe Heart Part 6.β
