Basic Black features a panel discussion with some of the black community's most notable scholars, editors, authors and more. This week's episode will feature The Callie Crossley Show's Callie Crossley; Emerson College's Kim McLarin; Phillip Martin, senior reporter at WGBH radio; Peniel Joseph, co-founder of the Center for the Study of Race and Democracy at Tufts University; and The Root contributing editor and editor of Racialicious Latoya Peterson.

Viewers can watch live online as experts discuss the latest in black culture.
