While it is still undisclosed exactly when the two children of the comedy stars started dating, they first posted about their relationship in 2021, as People Magazine reported. Jasmin shared an Instagram post for Murphy’s birthday, writing at the time, “Happy birthday, my love! I’m so incredibly blessed to know you, to love you, and to have you by my side.”
Eric Murphy posted on his account that year for her as well, writing, “Head over heels in LOVE with YOU,” with hashtags like, #myotherhalf,” “#equallyyoked,” and “#iloveyou.”
Martin Confirms Their Relationship
In 2022, Martin Lawrence opened up to Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live! about their relationship. At the time, he said he hadn’t talked to Eddie about it, and that they both were “letting them do their own thing” and “staying out of their business.”

Talking to CBS Mornings earlier this year, Murphy explained, “They’re both beautiful, they look amazing together — and it’s funny, everybody’s like, ‘What, is that baby gonna be funny?’”
He added, “If they ever get married and have a child, I am expecting the child to be funny.”
