Just in time for the New York primary, Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders has released a new ad produced by Spike Lee.

The ad, titled “These Are Mothers and Fathers, Sons and Daughters,” features Harry Belafonte, Shaun King and Erica Garner talking about why they’re supporting Sanders this election.
“People of color have a deeply vested interest in what Bernie Sanders brings to us in this election,” Belafonte says.
“People like Michael Brown, Sandra Bland and my father, Eric Garner,” Eric Garner’s daughter Erica says.
“They’re not just hashtags and trending topics,” King states. “These are mothers and fathers, sons and daughters.”
It’s quite apropos that Lee is behind the ad; after all, not only is he a staunch Sanders supporter, but both are from Brooklyn, N.Y.
