The three-bedroom home located on Snelling Avenue was featured as the childhood home of Princeβs character, βThe Kid,β in the iconic 1984 film. Prince bought the home in 2015 β just one year before his untimely death β and it is still owned by his estate today.
Beginning in August, the house will be open to the public for the first time in history, allowing Prince fans to take advantage of an experience that before could only exist in their dreams.
According to the Airbnb website, it includes an overnight stay in The Kidβs bedroom, a chance to listen and dance to some rare Prince tracks and a private tour of the newly-renovated home, which includes some of Princeβs belongings. And if all of that wasnβt enough, your hosts will be Wendy and Lisa, members of Princeβs band The Revolution.
Airbnbβs Icon experiences are designed to give fans exclusive opportunities to get up close and personal with their favorite actors, musicians and artists. Other experiences include a living room experience with Doja Cat and a chance to laugh and drink tequila with comedian Kevin Hart.
Prices for the βStay in Princeβs Purple Rain Houseβ have not yet been revealed, but weβre sure fans will be going crazy to grab this opportunity as soon as they can.
