Aaron Pierre that’s Mufasa may not have been making too many public appearances lately, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t know how to pop out occasionally and make headlines. And the latest thing he’s seemingly revealed that’s got people talking it just proof of that.

As you well know by now, the “Rebel Ridge” star has been rising in popularity (especially amongst the ladies) over the last year thanks in large part to his viral “Spirit Tunnel” walk at “The Jennifer Hudson Show” and subsequent movies. Even with him being romantically linked to singer Teyana Taylor–who he recently popped out with to support her and her new film “One Battle After Another” just before his debut on “The Morning Show” hit last week–it hasn’t done much to make him less desirable amongst his female fans. But some might argue that his latest reveal could very well do the trick.
If you don’t know what we’re talking about then allow us to be the first to tell you that in addition to an award-winning actor: Pierre may very well be a father. To be even more specific, he might be a father of a young son. Yes, you read that right! A whole son. Now how did we come to this conclusion, you might ask? Well, it all stems from a pair of Instagram posts that Pierre himself posted a little over a week ago that featured him holding hands with a child.
While we don’t yet know the name or identity of the child, Pierre’s caption all but pointed to the fact that whoever he was belonged to him, writing: “Sonshine.”
Taylor eventually made her way to the comments section to write “Da boyyyyyyyyyyyyzzzzzzz” underneath the post, essentially signaling that she’s fully aware of who that little hand belonged to and embraces him.
But even if this alleged child of Pierre’s is a lovely addition to Taylor’s own crew of two (Junie and Rue, her daughters that she shared with her ex-husband Iman Shumpert) and their relationship– it definitely took fans on social media by surprise.
“I’m sorry did i miss a chapter and aaron pierre has a son???” wrote one user on X/Twitter.
“Aaron Pierre hard-launching a son??? And it’s not like a baby hand neither. This child is like 5-7 by the size of the palm,” one other user noted.
Some people used the child’s revelation to further defend the “Mufasa” star’s relationship with the “Escape Room” singer, writing: “Y’all was clowning aaron pierre for getting with a woman with kids and whole time he got one LMFAOO.”
However, there were some who expressed a level of disdain at the news and felt as if the alleged son reveal was only the first part in their relationship downfall.
“I see Aaron Pierre soft-launched his son. The ‘couple goals and he’s so into her’ worshippers are about to be in a corner crying when the other shoe drops a) the child’s mother b) the (pr) ‘split’ from Teyana,” another user said.
“PR relationship” or not, there is one thing that should be noted here: whether Pierre actually has a son, it won’t have any affect on his rising stardom. Though we know Hollywood loves a bachelor (especially one with no kids), the industry also loves it’s fair share of eye candy and eye candy that knows how to bring in an audience. And that’s exactly what Pierre can do.
“Rebel Ridge” proved it. “Mufasa: The Lion King” brought out viewers off the sole attractiveness of him and his costar Kelvin Harrison Jr alone–even though they were voice actors–and helped spawned an unforgettable pop culture moment. And his upcoming slate of projects which include “The Morning Show” and a highly anticipated Green Lantern DC film just goes to show that there’s no slowing down when it comes to Pierre’s acting reign.
Hollywood is filled with men who have children both young and old. And Taylor herself has a family of her own. So Pierre and his alleged son will hopefully continue to fit right in and flourish on their own terms.
