Vivica A. Fox Details Why Women Shouldn’t Date 50 Cent Or Any Other Rapper, and 50 Claps Back!

Vivica Fox made comments about her former relationship with 50 Cent, and unsurprisingly the rapper had a response!

In the early 2000s, Vivica A. Fox and 50 Cent were the “it couple” of the culture. Fox was one of the most successful Black actresses in Hollywood with several blockbuster films to her credit. Fif had just released his classic debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin’, which would sell over 12 million copies across the globe. But more than two decades later, Fox put 50 on blast about why she wouldn’t date him again or any other rapper.

While speaking last weekend at the Ultimate Women’s Expo in Edison, New Jersey, Fox was asked by an audience member about pursuing their dreams. She went in a direction few could have anticipated.

“Don’t date 50 Cent, don’t date no damn rappers,” Fox responded as the crowd cheered.

Shrugging her shoulders, Fox went on to say,  “Facts!… Just so you know, it took me years to be able to laugh about it. I had to learn to laugh, not to cry no more, but I did it.”

Of course, 50 was armed and ready with one of his signature clapbacks.

Taking to Instagram, 50 wrote, “Either way I’m a have that ass in the matrix, you know I love me some you girl, but Damn it’s been 22 years Vivica. 🤷 @50centaction,” he wrote.

The post also featured an AI-generated 50 Cent, dressed like Morpheus from The Matrix, holding a red and blue pill.

Around 2003, Fox and 50 began dating after he gave Fox a shoutout for wearing a revealing dress during his acceptance speech at the BET Awards.

“I wanna thank Vivica for wearing that dress,” the 50 said at the time.

While the relationship eventually fizzled out, reportedly after a few months, their repeated back-and-forths with each other over the years have been epic.

In an interview with Vlad TV in 2021, Fox shared what she believed caused the end of the relationship and that 50 will always be the love of her life.

“The main thing that killed the relationship is that we just went way too public way too fast,” Fox explained. “The love that I had for him and still to this day…will always like…he was the love of my life, I will admit that without any reservations.”

“He will always have a very special place in my heart. But the reason why the relationship ended was because we just went public way too fast, had way too many people in our business,” she continued.

“If I were to have a chance to do it over, it would be that we stayed private a lot longer, but we got too many people in our business, and you know, that’s what killed the relationship, unfortunately,” Fox added.
