According to the Associated Press, the live show will take place in New York City on July 11. Although the honorees haven’t been announced yet, VH1 said that it will focus solely on female “trailblazers and trendsetters” in the male-dominated field.

Previously the show has honored MC Lyte and Salt-N-Pepa, so hopefully this year we’ll see the likes of Queen Latifah, Lauryn Hill and Lil’ Kim.
